Our Architecture, Engineering and Construction (AEC), Services Practice is looking to hire a Principal Building Envelope Consultant in New York City, NY/Tri-State Area. The Principal Consultant will proactively investigate building envelopes in order to identify deficiencies, potential problems and areas to improve performance. Inspection and documentation of existing facades, roof and waterproofing Design of restoration of facades, roofs and waterproofing - Field inspections and documentation of restoration work in progress Daily interaction with project stakeholders (property managers, owners reps, contractors, etc.) Managing a team of at least 3 Meet/surpass annual revenue and profit goals Lead, teach, mentor and assist a team of building envelope specialists Drive accountability for the team Manage team processes and assist others in executing those processes Deliver technical and scheduling support to all team members Conduct weekly progress meetings with property manager/owner’s representatives and contractor to drive project accountability and scheduled milestones Maintain existing client relationships Occasional travel and networking/industry event attendance may be required Assist with lead generation & opportunities with new clients. Assist with process and technical training of Project Managers Ensure that deliverables meet our guaranteed 2-day turnaround Requirements: Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in engineering/architecture or related discipline At least 8+ years’ experience with building envelope including restoration, consulting and forensics Technical experience in all elements of the building envelop Experience managing multiple projects and being responsible for the results Excellent verbal and written communication skills A track record of maintaining client relationships Housing and building code experience required In return for your talent and effort, we offer our full-time employees a competitive benefits package—including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, employer-matching 401(k), a flexible work schedule, and opportunities for advancement.
