Overview:

Our client, a fundamentally driven long/short equity hedge fund with approximately $400 million in assets under management, is seeking a highly motivated Investment Analyst to join its team. The fund is sector-focused across Technology, Media & Telecom (TMT), Industrials, and Consumer, and managed by a Portfolio Manager with a strong pedigree and proven track record of generating alpha.

This is a junior to mid-level position, ideal for candidates with strong analytical capabilities, a demonstrated interest in public equities, and 3–5+ years of relevant investment experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct deep fundamental research and financial analysis on public companies within the TMT, Industrials, and Consumer sectors
• Build and maintain detailed financial models to support investment recommendations
• Monitor industry trends, company performance, and market developments to generate actionable investment ideas
• Assist in developing and presenting investment theses to the Portfolio Manager and broader investment team
• Engage in regular idea generation and risk/reward assessments in support of long/short positioning
• Participate in earnings calls, industry conferences, and management meetings as needed

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree
• 3–5+ years of professional experience in public equity investing, preferably within a hedge fund setting
• A background in investment banking, private equity, or equity research is strongly preferred
• Proven ability to generate differentiated insights and investment recommendations
• Strong modeling, valuation, and financial statement analysis skills
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to clearly articulate investment ideas
