As Director of Capital Markets Programs for ApplePie Capital, you will be the key liaison between ApplePie and its capital partner clients, building, nurturing and growing relationships and ensuring alignment across all stakeholders. You will lead business critical initiatives across the company as a force-multiplier by amplifying execution efficiency. You will be instrumental in guiding a seamless transition from big picture ideas to detailed execution, while successfully navigating complexity and tight timelines. In addition to managing client programs, you will also drive cohesive cross-functional collaboration for other high impact programs and strategic initiatives across ApplePie.

The ideal candidate will have experience in managing important external relationships with banks and other financial institutions, a sharp business mind, and a proven ability to anticipate client needs, and strategize, negotiate and implement program initiatives. As a natural born leader, you will have a strong talent for project coordination and leading with influence. Ultimately, you are motivated by the desire to exceed customer expectations and nurture program success from inception to completion.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day relationships with ApplePie capital partners/loan purchasers
  • Lead and manage the onboarding process of new capital partners
  • Strategize, implement, and maintain program initiatives that adhere to organizational objectives
  • Serve as a centralized PMO for all investor loan programs and materials
  • Maintain organizational standards of satisfaction, quality, and performance
  • Oversee project teams, ensuring program goals are reached
  • Manage budget and funding channels for maximum productivity
  • Work closely with project sponsor and cross-functional teams to plan and develop scope, deliverables, required resources, work plan, budget, and timing for new initiatives
  • Draft and update monthly business terms for legal agreements with outside parties that ensure program profitability
  • Manage for optimal return-on-investment, and coordinate and delegate cross-project initiatives
  • Create product requirements for development team
  • Identify key requirements needed from cross-functional teams and external vendors
  • Analyze, evaluate, and overcome program risks
  • Use influence and negotiation skills to drive requests through the overall process, clear roadblocks, and resolve conflicts.
  • Managing and navigating expectations with counterparties

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in managing external client programs in financial services, preferably at a high-growth marketplace lending or financial technology company
  • Thrives in a dynamic work environment and is able to successfully manage multiple competing priorities
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills. Ability to intuitively understand operational challenges and provide timely recommendations in order to drive business decisions
  • Proven project management/operational skills
  • Results oriented and comfortable with data curation. Leverages data from multiple sources to make informed decisions; assesses multiple viewpoints and recommends a path forward
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills. Able to drive alignment across stakeholders and influence outcomes & decisions related to key initiatives
  • Outstanding communication skills and ability to clearly articulate information tailored to the audience across organizations including the executive team
  • Strong team player who can motivate diverse and distributed teams to form an effective execution synergy

Preferred Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in business management or a related field
  • Strong time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Experience working in a client service role at a consulting firm or fintech
  • Experience with one or more Agile tools used for tracking user stories or backlogs, such as Confluence or Jira
  • Experience working with engineers
  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) and/or Google Workspace skills
