Job Description

COMMERCIAL LOAN OFFICE R

THE BANK N.A. is looking for a long term, enthusiastic, outgoing, banking professional who believes in community banking and that outstanding customer service is the #1 priority. This candidate will be responsible for developing client relationships and new business development. The successful candidate will have proven success in commercial lending along with a business development background primarily in a banking environment. Furthermore, this candidate will develop business checking and deposit relationships with customers; and promote business for the bank by maintaining good customer relations and referring customers to appropriate staff for new services.

Qualifications: 

 

• Bachelor’s degree (BA) or equivalent from a 2-year college or university; 5 years related experience and/or training; or the equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Exceptional verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions and instruct others.

• Solid Credit analysis skills

 

General duties and responsibilities: 

 

• Maintain and grow current relationships

• Responsible for developing business, sales, and revenue growth for the bank

• Gather and analyze all information necessary to present a financing request to Loan Committee for approval; meet

with existing or potential customers; visit sites of loans; negotiate loan terms and conditions; approve loans within

established lending limits or refers and recommends acceptance.

• Coordinate processing of approved loans; ensure loans are processed according to agreement, customer needs

and conform to bank lending policies.

• Ensure that credit inquires and UCC filings are researched to determine credit worthiness and appropriate collateral

positioning are achieved.

• Negotiate, underwrite and process renewals of credit.

• Represent the Bank in various community, civic, and community reinvestment functions to further enhance the

Bank’s image and develop additional business; assist the Bank in establishing and maintaining market position.

The goal of this professional will be to contribute to the continued growth and profitability of the bank by: developing new and enhancing existing customer relationships, increasing bank deposits, and promoting quality loan portfolio growth.
