Job Description

Loudoun United FC is seeking a passionate and experienced Community & Camp Manager to lead our community outreach initiatives and youth camp programs. This role serves as the primary liaison between the club and the Northern Virginia community while developing and managing comprehensive youth soccer programs that build the next generation of players and fans. The ideal candidate will combine program management expertise with community engagement skills to expand the club's impact throughout Loudoun County and surrounding areas.

Key Responsibilities

Community Outreach & Engagement

  • Develop and implement comprehensive community outreach strategies to increase club visibility and engagement
  • Build and maintain relationships with local schools, youth organizations, municipal governments, and community groups
  • Coordinate player and staff appearances at community events, schools, and charity functions
  • Organize community service initiatives including food drives, charity matches, and volunteer programs
  • Represent Loudoun United at local government meetings, chamber of commerce events, and civic organizations
  • Develop partnerships with local businesses, nonprofits, and educational institutions
  • Manage community advisory board relationships and stakeholder communications

Youth Camp Program Development

  • Design, plan, and execute seasonal soccer camps for various age groups and skill levels
  • Create camp curricula focusing on technical skills, tactical understanding, and character development
  • Coordinate summer day camps, holiday break programs, and specialized skill-building clinics
  • Develop age-appropriate training sessions and educational activities for camp participants
  • Manage camp registration processes, participant communications, and parent relations
  • Ensure all programs align with US Soccer and club development philosophies
  • Coordinate with coaching staff to integrate first team players and academy coaches into camp programming

Program Operations & Management

  • Oversee daily operations of all community programs and camp activities
  • Manage program budgets, including revenue projections and expense tracking
  • Coordinate facility usage, equipment needs, and logistical requirements
  • Supervise camp staff including coaches, counselors, and administrative personnel
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, background check requirements, and insurance protocols
  • Maintain detailed participant records and program evaluation metrics
  • Develop emergency action plans and risk management procedures

Marketing & Promotion

  • Create marketing materials and promotional campaigns for community programs and camps
  • Manage social media content related to community initiatives and camp activities
  • Develop partnerships with local media outlets for program promotion and coverage
  • Coordinate photography and videography for program documentation and marketing
  • Design and distribute flyers, brochures, and digital content for community outreach
  • Maintain program websites and online registration systems
  • Track and report on marketing effectiveness and program reach

Educational Partnerships

  • Establish after-school soccer programs in partnership with local schools
  • Develop physical education curriculum support and teacher training workshops
  • Create scholarship programs for underserved youth in the community
  • Coordinate field trip opportunities and educational tours of club facilities
  • Develop mentorship programs connecting professional players with local students
  • Support college recruitment showcases and pathway development initiatives

Special Events & Programming

  • Plan and execute special community events including fan festivals, youth tournaments, and celebrations
  • Coordinate annual fundraising events and charity initiatives
  • Organize coaching clinics for local youth coaches and volunteers
  • Develop family-friendly programming for match days and club events
  • Create themed camps and specialized programs (goalkeeper camps, girls-only sessions, etc.)
  • Coordinate community appreciation events and season ticket holder activities

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 3-5 years experience in youth sports programming, camp management, or community engagement
  • Demonstrated experience managing multiple programs simultaneously
  • Proven track record in budget management and program development
  • Experience with youth safety protocols and child protection policies
  • Proficiency in program management software and registration systems
  • Experience with social media management and digital marketing
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Event planning and logistics coordination experience
  • Budget management and financial reporting capabilities
  • Database management and customer relationship management systems

Schedule : Full-time position with seasonal variations. Heavy workload during summer camp seasons and school breaks. Evening and weekend work required for community events and programs.

Environment : Mix of office work, outdoor field activities, and community venues. Regular interaction with children, parents, coaches, and community leaders. Travel throughout Northern Virginia for outreach activities.

Physical Requirements : Ability to participate in active outdoor programs, lift equipment up to 50 pounds, and maintain energy for full-day camp activities.

  • Increase community program participation by 25% annually
